Mission Statement 

     Our mission is to provide the citizens of Sheffield Alabama with a professional law enforcement investigative team. We aggressively investigate felony and misdemeanor offenses and ensure successful identification, apprehension and prosecution of offenders.

     Our Criminal Investigation Division (CID) currently consists of two Captains and one Detective whom are supervised by the Chief of Police. We strive to attend specialized training each year that consists of interview and interrogation, homicide, officer involved shootings, evidence collection and preservation, and/or administrative training.
